Salalah from Contes De Parfums is a unisex Floral-Oud EDP that evokes traditional Arabian sights and smells in an exquisite modern creation.

His passion for traditional Arabic perfume and Arabic culture was undeniable and the trip to Oman was a pilgrimage to the ancient home of frankincense. Salalah, the southernmost city in Oman is a true dichotomy, with its world of lush, green mountainous vegetation, natural waterfalls and moderate temperatures a stark contrast to the surrounding desert. The city is an abundance of colour, with fruits and flowers grown in this natural oasis during the monsoon or ‘khareef’ summer months. It’s friendly, bustling local market full of heady spices, contrasted by the sweet smell of dried apricot, rose petals, rose and orange waters offering a softer cushion for the nose.  Fresh fruits like plums, pineapples, bananas and mango suggest utter deliciousness, then the warm evening air in the narrow market streets is scented with the smoke of Arabic bakhoor, agarwood (oud) and frankincense, igniting his passion, imagination and emotions. He is instantly transported back centuries to Salalah’s domination of the opulent frankincense era, and once again he relives his memorable visit to the UNESCO frankincense site. Created by perfumer Julien Rasquinet, Salalah eau de parfum opens with subtle plum and rose top notes offering a gentle floral entry into a heart of luxuriously enveloping Turkish Rose Absolute and Patchouli. A rich, woody dry-down of unmistakable Oud, soft and cosy Labdanum and fresh, spicy Gurjun Balsam rounds out this Floral-Oud fragrance, further reiterating the exquisitely rounded elegance, strength and depth of this modern creation with Arabic roots.

HOW TO USE
Use one or two sprays around your neck and on your pulse points (areas where the body is warmer, such as the wrists, ankles, inside the elbows and behind the knees) from a minimum distance of 6 inches, then allow to dry without rubbing.
