Jobs At The Perfume Shop
We create fantastic employment experiences, so teams feel cared for, and have opportunities to learn and grow. Our commitment to our people has been independently recognised by the Top Employers Institute through our Top Employers award. We are a Living Wage accredited employer in the UK, demonstrating our commitment to fair pay for both our people and those who work for key supplier partners.
Discover Your Talents
Our award-winning learning & development team provides support for people to grow their perfume knowledge and gain a formal recognised qualification through our industry body; The Fragrance Foundation. We also offer a wide range of external Apprenticeships and internal development programmes, so our Perfume People can develop across the business.
Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our people is very important to us. Everyone has enhanced holiday entitlement so they can take time away from work to recharge. Plus, in the UK everyone has access to Aviva Digicare which provides a digital GP service. For our people based in the Republic of Ireland, we provide a virtual GP service. We have a valued partnership with The Retail Trust - offering independent, confidential support and advice on a wide range of issues.
Respecting Human Rights
The Perfume Shop prevents Modern Slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chain. Teams across the business receive regular training on Modern Slavery as a mandatory part of our induction programme. We also have a confidential helpline “Speak Up & Protect” so our teams can report any concerns directly to our head office. Find out how we respect human rights by reading our 2023 Modern Slavery Statement here.
Supporting Our Communities
We’re passionate about supporting causes close to our hearts, including Alzheimer’s Research UK, Look Good, Feel Better, Operation Smile and the Marie Keating Foundation in the Republic of Ireland. Whether we’re baking, running, or raffling, we love coming together to raise money and awareness for our charity partners. We also offer a volunteer program, with our Head Office teams regularly visiting One Can Trust food bank in High Wycombe as well as maintaining our ‘Scentsory Garden’ at Keech Hospice Care, in Luton.
Diversity
We’re on a conscious journey to ensure that we provide an inclusive and workplace where everyone can be themselves and feel included. Last year we launched our Reverse Mentoring scheme where a team of Gen Z Perfume People paired up with our Leadership & Senior Management Teams to see what they could learn from each other.
Reward
We love celebrating and recognising our Perfume People because we know our success is driven by them. Every person is rewarded for their contribution and there are plenty of benefits and perks available; these include Celebration Days - where our Perfume People can take an extra day off to celebrate a big life event - generous staff discount, discretionary bonus, store incentives and more!
