2. TRY LAYERING SCENTS

Perfume isn’t all about just what you spray on your wrists, you know? You can get so much more out of your signature scent by layering it with complementing products, such as body lotions or body washes. When you receive your samples or test a scent in-store, give the fragrance time to develop on your skin. The first notes you will smell are the top notes, but there’s so much more to experience! Let the fragrance linger on your skin for as long as possible before you decide it’s ‘the one’.

6. KNOW YOUR PULSE POINTS

If you want your perfume to last as long as possible, then get to know your pulse points. Pulse points are warm areas on the skin where perfume loves to be sprayed, think wrists, behind your ears and inside the elbow.

When it comes to perfume, generally, less is more. You want people to say, ‘wow!’ and not ‘woah!’ when entering a room. So, stick to one to two sprays to showcase the beauty of your signature scent.

9. STORE YOUR SCENT IN THE RIGHT PLACE

As pretty as your perfume bottles may look meticulously lined up on your bathroom shelf, the best place to store them is actually in a dry, dark place. Leaving them out in bright, warm places will cause the notes to break down, leading to a bad-smelling perfume! Store your favourite bottles in a cool, dry place to enjoy them for as long as possible.
